Off to Europe

I will be spending some time in Europe this month, leaving on Tuesday.

Thanks to all of you who came out for the Mission Artists Studio Stroll this weekend. I enjoyed lots of interesting conversation and had a good time.

I also wanted to share two write-ups on local blogs about the show:

Thank you so much for coming by, for all the nice and thoughtful comments and for signing my mailing list!
See you at the next show.

Party tonight!

So I found out that I will have a really beautiful space for this weekend's Open Studios- it is very close to the entrance when you come up the stairs to our courtyard on the second level:
studio# 225.
Hope to see you there!

ActivSpace Open Studios- tarot readings anyone? moped parts perhaps?

This is my first Open Studio event in this fabulous building- we are hosting a much anticipated
Opening Party on Friday, 4/24
I really hope to see you there!
If you can't make it, all participating studios will be open Saturday and Sunday as well.
(4/25 & 26)
You should not miss it, this major event happens only twice a year.
We are an amazing mix of artists and entrepreneurs and the place buzzes with energy.
There is a lovely second floor courtyard surrounded by small chic storefronts you can't see from the street- that's where we have our parties... you have to see this in person, it is really pretty.

statement for City Skies

My subject is what I am surrounded by- heavy sky against the silhouettes of the city.

San Francisco can be easily lost under a haze of habit and drowned out by floods of spectacular sights. My paintings look for the noteworthy in the everyday, surprise and beauty in the seemingly mundane- an abundance of which is undeniably found here.
