So my amazing friends HMcD, KJT and GG at the studio got themselves a brand new printing press and I got to try it out this weekend. First prints ever, on a press anyway. Bloody beginner that I am, they had to explain just about everything. And then I did it. L O V E I T!!! Thank you, my lovely friends.

note to self: more experiments when nobody is around and try not to mess up EVERYTHING this time.

Back at the studio

Back at the studio and working on new figurative work. It's been a cold couple of weeks but the space heaters work for quite some time until they blow a circuit. Painting "people sitting by a city canal on a warm summer night" helps as well- the new series (working title: "Riverbank" - duh) is making good progress. I also just re-discovered Prussian Blue and Caput Mortuum pigment. Come by for a visit if you'd like to see for yourselves- email me for an appointment.

I hope you are enjoying the quiet times between the years as much as I do.

My new work is on it's way to Miami; Red Dot opens tomorrow, Tuesday 11/30. More news and pictures are posted on the Hang Gallery website.

new series - Riverbank

Riverbank #13

This is the first finished piece from the Riverbank series, 12x9, oil on canvas.

All other paintings will be the same size or larger, up to 42x48.

Based on pictures and sketches of people spending time by the river.

The Seine, actually. In May, in Paris.
